Inkwell Duck Clients and Testimonials
Testimonials
Joseph Smith, President, Cintron Safe & Lock
We are very pleased with our business relationship with Inkwell Duck, Incorporated (Inkwell). The return on our investment has been remarkable. The first two proposals prepared by Tracey Wood of Inkwell, we submitted the bids and they were both awarded to Cintron.
We have definitely seen a return on investment by bringing Inkwell on as a consultant, researcher, proposal manager and strategist. Mrs. Wood always presents options with pros and cons and leaves the final decision to the business owner. This is a style that is greatly appreciated. Yet she is very decisive when directed to make the decision based on her experience, and she is extremely patient and professional at providing a full explanation regarding her decision making process.
Mrs. Wood has completed three bids for us. The third bid hasn't been awarded. That bid had an extremely complex RFP. Thanks to Mrs. Wood at Inkwell, we are truly confident that Cintron was well represented by the bid we submitted.
Abe Abraham, President & CEO, CMI Management, Inc.
Mrs. Wood helped us win a $2.8 million 8(a) competitive contract in 1996 in just one week! It was our first major document management contract. We met with Mrs. Wood on a Friday. On Monday, to our amazement, she had driven two hours out of town to be on-site. She talked with the customers, developed capture data, developed win themes and solutions strategies, introduced our company to the client, walked through the job site and presented the benefits of selecting CMI as the preferred solution provider. By Thursday, Mrs. Wood had the proposal ready for submission. The government deliberated for awhile and CMI was notified of our first major award.
Linda Jackson, Owner, Premier Incorporated
Premier Analysis first hired Inkwell, owned by Mrs. Wood, in 2000 to manage our DISA/Encore proposal team. As a small business with two large business teammates, Mrs. Wood's leadership in facilitating team meetings was definitely the answer for our company. Mrs. Wood used great diplomacy when dealing with the different corporate cultures and group dynamics. Our team made the multiple award cut-off.
Then in 2006, Premier had Mrs. Wood establish business relations, assemble a team meeting the contracting criteria, establish government agency awareness and win Premier the NSA/NSET II contract. Mrs. Wood always stayed optimistic, flexible and mission driven. To strengthen the win probability, she quickly merged and began working with a team that had a proposal manager. Right away Mrs. Wood co-managed the proposal efforts with style, grace and a winning spirit. She is a great team player and mission oriented. Premier won NSET II.
Earl Brown, Owner & President, Diamond Solutions, Inc.
Mrs. Wood completed an organizational communications audit of our small business (41 employees) and helped DSI take corrective actions by presenting an easy to implement Comprehensive Communications and Marketing Plan. The plan contains four components: internal communications procedures, public relations actions, marketing steps and a business development plan. DSI is only in the first phase of implementation and we are already experiencing a drop in employee turn-over and an increase in commerce activity.
Ms. Wood has an outstanding personality with strong communications skills, incredible multitask managing capabilities, and she's a terrific team leader. She managed three proposals simultaneously and wrote policy for quality control all in the same 45 day period of time along with business trips and meetings.
It is great to have such a strong member on our team at DSI and it is wonderful to watch a true professional at work. Ms. Wood appeared to enjoy every minute of her hectic activity.
